what motivated you to become a social carer?: I wanted to have a job that was meaningful and rewarding whilst also being able to support me. After working as a support worker for some time I have never looked back, every experience I have had has been deeply impactful to my life, and has helped shape the man I am today. I like that through this job I have been able to meet so many different people with so many different needs, it has diversified my skills and tested many different aspects of my personality and helped me to become a well rounded person that can handle any situation, regardless of the circumstances. Why do you think you will be good at it?: I have always had very strong social skills, being able to make friends on a whim, maintain conversations for hours and discuss things of importance (or things that are not important at all). I believe I am also very trusting, I place a very strong value on trust in my life and will do everything I can to uphold that trust and not let it faulter, and believe the value of trust between clients and staff are of utmost importance and must be maintained at whatever cost. Additionally, I believe I have good teamwork skills. I have worked in teams my entire life, and believe that strong teamwork is paramount to efficiency and overall smooth operating on a daily basis. I also like to think that I am overall a very bubbly and positive person (and funny but you'll have to just take my word on that). not many things can bring me down, I have overcome a lot of things in my life and count my blessings everyday for where I am and who I am. I have always had an incredibly strong affinity for placing my self in a position where I could change peoples lives, and as a result I have been able to do as such through my current degree. I am currently Studying a Bachelor of Dentistry, learning to become a dentist. Through my degree I have already been able to help a number of people with their oral health, from helping with oral diseases, dentures, cavities, dental pain or just wanting a nicer smile. As a result, it has quickly formed as something I am most passionate about, I love smiling, but I love to see other people smile more, and being able to help others in this way has been truly a privilege and an honour. other passions, I am completely obsessed with music, I played the saxophone in high school and have always loved and appreciated jazz music. As a result I am now currently learning how to make music digitally (learning is the key word, the music is not good but it is a fun challenge). I also love watching movies and shows, I have seen far too many than I want to admit, but it's still a fun hobby. additionally, I love to meet new people, I very much enjoy hearing people's life stories and just overall expanding my own horizons through different lived experiences of others.
