I would make a great Social Carer because I have always been passionate about helping people. At first, I thought that maybe I could be a nurse but after watching a few gory movies, I realised I might be too squeamish for it. I then developed a deep interest for psychology and my ultimate goal became to better the lives of others by guiding them to improving their mental health. Furthermore, I have informally taken on the role as a casual carer for my grandmother when my mum has other commitments. For example, while my mum is overseas I will cook meals for my grandma if she is too tired. I go on walks with her, watch movies with her, and take her to any appointments that she needs. I make every effort to be an attentive listener and compassionate granddaughter whenever I can. I love these opportunities to get to know her a little bit better and allow our special relationship to flourish. I would love the opportunity to share my hobbies with another person as their social carer, as well as engage in theirs - I love to learn! I have always loved art since I was a little girl. Painting, drawing, and crafts in general are some of my favourite hobbies which I unfortunately have not had much time for while I have been studying. Now that I am on uni break, I would love to be able to share my knowledge in this skill with others who are very talented and experienced, or even those who have been interested by have not had the opportunity to try. I have a plethora of unused art supplies collected dust from when I did my major work, and am more than happy to share! I also love animals, the beach, cooking, playing tennis, travelling, watching movies, and so much more!
