Through circumstance I raised my daughter whilst experiencing physical health problems. I have travelled extensively domestically and internationally, meticulous in my approach to planning, a fine eye for detail, empathetic, respectful and live to serve and assist others. My career in the NSW Police Force was as a street officer, always responding to members of the public as well as pro active operations on my own initiative. Being medically retired now, I am the Secretary of the NSW retired and Former Police Association branch and arrange meetings, member welfare, social events, and with by daughter's contacts from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music have taken elderly associates to performances and concerts in Sydney. I have many wide and varied experiences to share along with demonstrated ability to understandingly and compassionately care for others with extraordinary patience and perseverence to succeed in what is presented to me. I love imparting my knowledge in supporting and teaching others about technology. I am an advocate of never being too old to learn and have never failed in my plight. A perfect example was an elderly member of a sporting club at which I worked was having trouble with her ipad and being able to communicate with her relatives overseas. I repaired the hardware and sat with her, teaching her how to use Skype until she was confident and able to operate the app confidently. I offered my assistance to another member in pairing her Bluetooth hearing aids to her phone as it was obvious to me that her hearing had declined and I suspected a problem. 5 minutes later she was paired and given a new lease of life being able to communicate freely again. I taught her how to do this herself should it happen again, and I frequently asked how she was going with them. Although being involved in multiple industries now, two of which are working directly with people who have special needs, others providing community and family service and support, and aged care, I still have a longing to help others in improving their quality of life. I continue to maintain necessary certifications and training to enable my goals, including mandatory qualifications for working within the government sector. It brings me great satisfaction and purpose to be able to assist people, using my knowledge, life skills, and can do attitude.
