About

Hi there, I consider myself very much a people person, who can get along with pretty much anyone or find some common ground, and that extends through to helping people in the community who need some extra assistance, or even a lot. I pride myself on being a kind and compassionate person, who knows how to have fun, very creative and I smile a lot!! I can make people feel at ease with me. I feel that these quality's would be a great attribute to helping people. I'm also very organized and I can mutli task quite efficiently. I have quite a wide range of hobbies and passions. I used to be a dance teacher and have a studio back in NZ, so dancing and being creative is defiantly one of them! I also play beach tennis, big fan of the beach, so combining sport and the beach is the best. I also enjoy arts and crafts, knitting, sewing etc. Love going to see shows and plays (especially at the Opera House) and I also love watching sports rugby league and union. Keeping fit and healthy is important, so going on nice long walks and getting some sunshine is a must! Apart from being a dance teacher, my work for the last 18 years has been in travel, either working for Air New Zealand or currently as a part time Travel Agent. So I'm used to working with a wide range of people from all walks of life. I am currently planning on moving away from travel to explore other options, and I'm also interested in studying to obtain my Cert III in individual support or Cert IV, while potentially working as a Social Carer. I also have my own e-commerce business which I work on from home, so being a social Carer and moving into this field, will allow me do both.
