I have been employed at The Department of Home Affairs as a full-time employee for since 2003 (currently at the APS 4 level) and additional year and a half commencing 2001 as a contractor. I have worked with clients of all backgrounds and nationalities, in various roles outlined in my CV within the Department in that time. I am seeking a change of career path due to my employer's office relocation to Parramatta in June 2022 as I live locally in Caringbah based in the Sutherland Shire. I am also looking for a change in career path and feel that the role of a Social Carer would be more rewarding than my previous positions/roles. I have also worked part-time at John Fairfax (Holdings) Ltd for the newspaper Australian Financial Review between 1997 - 2003 as a Share markets tables editor. I graduated with a Bachelor of Social Science (Justice Studies major) in 2000 with a sub-major in Sociology from Charles Sturt University. My studies and employment have provided me with excellent communication, written, verbal and social skills. I am also proficient in Microsoft Windows software (Word, Excel, Outlook), and utilizing various programs when undertaking my roles. My employment history shows my diligence, loyalty and ability work in high volume and high pressure environments. I have received high praise from managers and team leaders about the quality of my writing skills and my personal drive and integrity. I am also punctual and reliable. I live alone and own my own unit paying off a mortgage. I am willing to undergo training to achieve any essential requirements to be employed as part of the position. I am also very active in my daily life and my interests include swimming, running, walking, yoga, gym classes and leading a healthy lifestyle (weekly). ^& ^&In my day to day life I try and get out and about to complete 10000 steps a day or some kind of activity (class) that will boost the immune system. As I live alone and am self sufficient, along with holding down a job, and mortgage, I feel that I can enrich someone else's life depending on their interests and daily activities. ^&
