My motivation to become a social carer could stem from a deep sense of compassion and empathy for others, a desire to make a positive impact on people's lives, or perhaps personal experiences that have shaped your understanding of the importance of social care. It's a noble profession that allows you to contribute to the well-being of individuals and communities, which can be incredibly rewarding. I believe that I possess qualities such as empathy, patience, good communication skills, adaptability, and a genuine desire to help others. I have the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds, problem-solving skills, and resilience. My hobbies, passions and skills include activities that promote self care and relaxation i.e. reading, I also enjoy shopping, engaging with others by participating in community events. I naturally empathise with others and feel fulfilled by helping those in need, this is my passion driving my interest in social care. I enjoy communicating with people and are skilled at expressing myself clearly and compassionately. I excel at building rapport, listening actively, and understanding others' perspectives. An interesting fact about me is that I am a stroke survivor. Now usually I would hate the term, as I do not feel as though I am stroke survivor however in this instance I believe that the wealth of knowledge I’ve gained from this experience has shaped me in a way that makes me honest, caring and compassionate.
