As a self-driven and motivated individual, I am delighted to work with Like Family as a Social Carer! With my extensive experience in working with people from diverse backgrounds and my willingness to learn and apply new skills, I am confident in my ability to connect with clients. I possess excellent communication, listening and empathic skills to successfully meet client requirements. My strong interpersonal skills have been acquired from my roles in numerous community settings (see below), where I frequently engage and relate to people from diverse backgrounds. My goal is to have a future career as a medical doctor specialising in paediatric emergency. Being a social carer enables me to support the community, and also further develop my communication and organisational skills. I am connected with a wide section of the community: - Catholic Church: Altar Server, Choir - Sports: Swimming, Tennis, Hapkido (Martial Arts) - Languages: English, Vietnamese, Chinese (Teo Chew), Latin - Volunteering: Australian Air League Cadets (2011-present) and Vietnamese Cultural Schools Association (2010-present) I am keen to share these skills and my passion with future clients. Some activities we can do together include: - Outings to the pool, beach, tennis courts - Fitness and exercise workouts in the park/gym - Religious services and bible studies - Discovery trips to the library/museum/exhibits I also have a wide interest in outdoor activities (nature walks, hikes, camping and astronomy). I love attending comedy shows, watching movies, building model planes and road trips. I have a big passion for aviation (plane spotting and airshows). As a Social Carer, I am keen to find out the needs and interests of the client. I am also happy to introduce them to my interests and passions if they are inclined.
