Through my 3 years of experience as a disability support works, assisting individuals with various disabilities and acute ailments, I have developed a fondness for helping them achieve their goals. I wish to continue this trend and provide participants with the necessary support and tools that will help bring out their full potential to become the best version of themselves. I am also always looking to make new meaningful connections. I am compassionate and respectful to all which allows me to connect with clients at a deeper level and handle their diverse needs with kindness and warmth. I am flexible and adaptable in my thinking. As each day might bring new problems and hurdles that both the client and the support worker must face, I am able to think out of the box to solve these problems effectively. I am warm, friendly and approachable which enables me to make clients at ease with my company easily. I am always willing to teach my hobbies to my participants if they are keen to. Currently, I am teaching a child with ADHD how to skateboard. Every shift we learn how to ride the skateboard through staggered steps so it is more easily learnt. To this date, from having trouble with his general balance while walking, he is not able to skate down medium-sized ramps in the skatepark.
