About

I developed a passion for helping others and learning, as a family member was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, requiring assistance from OT’s, physiotherapists and psychologists. Therefore, I have been exposed to these fields and the amazing impact they can have not only for the individual receiving the treatment but also the family and friends in their support system. This encouraged me to pursue a career in Occupational Therapy and support work. I love making new connections and working with others to achieve goals they want to achieve. ^& ^&I am very passionate about music, particularly live music. I love attending live shows of my favourite bands and artists. I like sharing these moments with friends and family. However, I know live music can be a very overwhelming and sensory stimulating experience. With my family member, to allow them to enjoy the show as much as me we have used special earplugs that still allow the music in but cut out the background noise, sunglasses for the bright lights, acknowledging where exits and water stations are and simply allowing ourselves enough space to feel comfortable, dance and have a good night focusing only on ourselves and the music. ^&
