About
I first started working in support work in 2022, and found my passion for supporting and advocating for individuals who need the assistance. I have always been a compassionate, empathetic and joyful person, so when I found a position where I could utilise my skills whilst also supporting individuals live their life to the fullest potential, I knew this was the career I wanted to be apart of. Seeing individuals fulfilling the hobbies and experiences they love doing, whilst being provided the supports they need to do so, is the reason why I love being a support worker. ^& ^&If an individual showed interest in a certain one of my hobbies for example hiking. I would share my experiences, and show them some of my favourite hiking trails. If they were eager to participate, I would let them make a choice of which one they would enjoy hiking. ^&
