Meeting new people and developing new perspectives/hobbies has always been the way I have lived. My larger family is quite spread out so whenever we visit each other, we always end up meeting new people in new places. It has made me incredibly open and thoughtful not only with people but also mine and other's interests and hobbies. Although I've never professionally worked as a social carer, I've found myself working as a youth worker, peer mentor and local caregiver. To build on this experience, I decided to pursue a Bachelor of Psychology(Honours) course which has nurtured and polished my understanding and care for others. ^& ^&Taking my hobby of travelling, I would take the individual out to sightseeing or out for a road trip. If not possible for the person, even watching documentaries of scenic locations around the world and exploring exotic animals and plants through the TV is enough for me to share my hobby. For example, I would try to see the commonalities in our hobbies and try to combine them so both of us get a taste of each others hobbies - if they like cycling and I like sightseeing, cycling next to the beach or cycling at sunset/sunrise would be a fantastic way to engage!^&
