I wanted to become a Social Carer: (a) to make meaningful connections and contribute to my local community (Enjoy rewarding (and at times fun) work where I can give back to the community and support people with disability to achieve their life goals and maybe even to achieve something they may not otherwise have done without my support), (b) for the ultimate work/life balance where I can have flexibility with when and where I work, to fit in around family, and other commitments where I can be going home from work after really making a difference in someone’s life) and (c) support of other likeminded teammates and in an established organisation and be part of something bigger, as we work together supporting the clients to achieve and hoping to receive the support needed in the area of safety, quality and compliance as they are important. (d) to embark on a career change from Accounting to Healthcare, as an additional area of my life's interests. My hobbies are Reading, Travelling, Shopping, Musical Theatre, Listening to Music. I am passionate, have a great attitude and an eagerness to learn and be teachable. - a positive approach, initiative and self-motivation - willingness to be committed to empowering clients to reach their goals, and to upholding quality and safeguards in my everyday work - effective communication skills, and good English literacy to communicate well with our clients - ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team - willingness to support clients with personal care activities - availability to work weekend and night shifts with advance notice - I have Working with Children's Check - I have Australian Driver License - I have the right to work in Australia, and - I have First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certificates. I am mostly available for work and working toward obtaining healthcare qualifications.
