I love meeting new people and listening their stories. I keep an open mind and accept people from different walks of life without judgement. I do not have any experience of working as a social worker except the volunteer work I am doing right now at Brotherhood of St. Laurence Brunswick store but I am interested to make an effort to bring changes in people's lives . I think being there for the people who have been isolated for some reasons can make a difference in their lives. I have an amazing neighbor who is 69 years old and full of life. Doing little things with her like shopping , gardening makes me happy and I have realized that I have learnt some skills from her as well. At the same time I realized that spending some time together, listening to her stories , helping her with little technologies make her life little easier. I would like to help more people to bring some positive changes in the community. I grew up in Bangladesh. Traditionally we live with the elders together. So we are more or less used to taking care of grand parents or parents. ^& ^&Walking together , being an event buddy or spending time in the garden can be a good way to cheer people up . ^&
