Hi, I'm Theo (they/them/he/him). I'm a proud queer and neurodivergent person originally from Hong Kong. I'm motivated to become a social carer because I want to expand beyond being a music therapist to connect and build meaningful relationships with people, share a laugh and have fun together. As a registered music therapist, I have experience supporting individuals from all walks of life with various physical, intellectual, developmental, and psychosocial disabilities. I have supported individuals at childcare, mainstream schools, special developmental schools, clinics, day programs, and supported accommodations. Despite being passionate about supporting people through music therapy, I have noticed that many people long for connection and interaction beyond a therapy session. Therefore, I want to combine my clinical experience as an allied health professional, along with my lived experiences as a queer and neurodivergent person, to build meaningful connections with people and to support people. Some of my special interests include music (playing instruments and listening to music), cats, board games, swimming, food (especially dessert), arts and crafts, learning languages, and tattoos. Education - Graduate Certificate in Mental Health (2024-present) - Master of Music Therapy (2019-2021) - Bachelor of Music (2014-2017) Language - English - Cantonese - Mandarin - Japanese
