I have always had a passion for helping others and creating environments that are inclusive of everyone. I grew up volunteering at events like Roar for Autism, working in schools as a mentor or teacher's assistant, and looking after young children. I've found that I always gravitate towards neurodivergent, intellectually disabled, or physically impaired people, because I find they see me as a person first, without judgment, enabling me to be authentically myself and form meaningful relationships. I'm from the USA (Baltimore, MD) and have traveled to Australia because I love the lifestyle, perspective, and growth opportunities. I would love to share the energy I've found with people who are often overlooked, even. neglected by our current societal frameworks. With my Bachelor of Public Health, I've learned all too well about the health disparities affecting disabled individuals, and now that I'm studying for a Bachelor of Nursing here in Victoria and I want to integrate the knowledge & theory I am learning into action, facilitating others to be able to follow their dreams and achieve goals, creating a positive feedback loop that keeps me going on my own journey. ^& ^&I love staying active, exploring new places, and getting inspired by new experiences. Anything outdoors (rain or shine, but. especially some lovely sunshine!) is right up my alley and I would love to share walks around the city & outskirts to reap the benefits of nature, have picnics, and photograph the sites, I. especially love film photography! My love of the outdoors is something I would love to share with others; the best part is the opportunities it provides. Walking around to free events, hidden food spots, a lovely garden for bird watching or journaling, and ultimately, just keeping the body moving and grooving for optimal health. Walking offers a lot of time to chit-chat and really get to know someone, with plenty of fun stops or excursions along the way. I also love to travel! I lived on a ship for 4 months that circumnavigated the globe and I've lived in a van traveling around Australia for a bit too! I would love to plan exciting trips around to visit waterfalls or just bushwalk to see the native flora and fauna of VIC. I'm a strong proponent of. traveling to learn about life and learn about yourself and would love to help someone satisfy their travel bug, even if it just day trips a few blocks away from home! ^&
