I have had a great deal of experience with people with disabilities in a variety of situations. I am especially skilled at providing companionship, advice, mentoring and encouraging people to seek new experiences. I have taken clients to the cinema, music concerts, outdoor festivals, restaurants. I also enjoy building model ships and aeroplanes with the client. I find that with a little guidance, they are very good at painting and gluing. I am very interested in gymnasium work and have much experience in successfully encouraging people with disabilities to improve their level of fitness. Much can be accomplished with the building of trust. Once trust is established it is entirely possible to have a transformative impact upon a persons life.^& ^&I have much experience in encouraging people with disabilities to build model ships, drawing, puzzles, gymnasium and gardening. What is particularly encouraging is to show them the end result such as a completed puzzle or model ship. By sharing the tasks, they acquire the feeling that they have actively participated and the end result is theirs. It also helps to build interest if you allow them to keep the end product as a display item in their house or unit.^&
