I had an uncle that had mixed dementia so having to take care of him helped me to understand him and develop a sense of patience. It began to be easier to read both his verbal and nonverbal cues. I became interested in support work from there on.^& ^&Getting someone interested in my skills would require getting them involved and try to understand their likes or dislikes or when to pull and push.^&
