People would describe me as smart, funny, artsy, and loyal, who enjoys a (decaf) coffee and a good book. I am a curious person and am always interested in my client's stories. I am an experienced Support Worker and have been with multiple clients long-term. I have also been a carer for my own father for over 10 years. I am apt to ask direct questions to get to know my clients and I find that because I don't flinch at the difficulties people go through and can cut to the heart of a problem logically, clients become confident in me quickly. Everyone's journey is different and I believe that comparing yours to anyone else's prevents you from appreciating where you are, there is much to this world that only be seen when you slow down. My work experience previous to caring for my father was very corporate-based, so I tend to come in handy with insurance and finance questions, along with being able to speak to telecommunications providers without stress and get a result!^& ^&Reading - I would introduce someone to the library first and foremost. It is easy to discuss books even when you haven't read the same one because of what we like about the different genres.^&
