About
My name Tammy and I am a single mother to an 8 year old daughter. I am a passionate individual who has actively worked in the community since the age of 14 and now at age 34, my life experiences have helped me see where my gifts can benefit those within the community who require a carer that is empathetic and compassionate. I have had many colourful career paths working as a children's only hairdresser, children's party entertainer and children's music teacher. When I was a stay home mother, I had my own crochet small business crafting garments to wine bottle holders, coasters and bags for sale. I have been in the Hairdressing industry for 17years which has allowed me to work on a vast variety of people with all kinds of needs from those who suffer ailments, living with a disability/imparement, different forms of mental health issues and the elderly. I have been blessed to see my clients grow up as children who have now become parents themselves. In my family life I also helped raise 4 of my god children ages 11,11, 9 & a 2 year old. I have studied a certificate 4 for Child, Youth and Family Intervention. I look forward to bringing value into the lives of all my members of Like Family.
