Being sensitive to the emotions of others helps social workers to do their best at work. Empathic abilities allow for good social skills. Having empathy for clients and team members ensures that working relationships remain strong. Patience is a quality that I have which goes a long way when taking part in social work. Having patience with people going through difficult times allows social workers to understand the whole story. This paints a clear picture of what can be done to help. My genuine need to help others due to a caring nature brings many people to the world of social work. Being able to make a difference in someone’s life is reward enough for a social worker. Communication skills are integral for this role. Patient, caring, empathic people are able to take the time to get the communication right. The ability to analyse different social situations is essential for making decisions in this particular role. Good analytical skills guide social workers to the most beneficial outcomes for clients and team members. These qualities as well as a genuine passion to help others is why I will make a great social worker. ^& ^&I have been playing sport all my life, I have played field hockey since 2018 and I currently play for a the only club that has an all Indian female team in Melbourne. I would definitely love to teach hockey as I have experience in coaching children and adults in Hockey. I would set up some drills according to the person and play some fun games. I would take them to any games happening in the stadium to watch professional matches. For someone who is not into Hockey and even after my encouragement to give it try, they are resistant to it, I am a painter and I love art as well as reading books, clothes, shopping etc. No matter what it is I am bound to make everything a comfortable and fun experience for members in the community.^&
