I am attuned to people’s emotions, behaviour and am altruistic and willing to help. I am approachable and have a quiet nature. My mother is hearing impaired and growing up I take on the role of her carer, helping her navigate complex social situations where her hearing limits her ability to communicate smoothly. Having moved to Australia when I was 13, I understand the experience of immigrants and how crucial the aspect of socialisation is to their well-being, and would love to use my experience to help. ^& ^&For example, I would love to help them to do gardening in their backyard, chatting with them about what they love about gardening, learning from them in terms of how they garden and helping them out, and possibly sharing an afternoon tea after gardening. ^&
