About

I like love helping people live the best life they can. I am caring, compassionate, kind and empathetic. I am capable, practical and hard working. Having been a prep teacher for many years, I am good at gently guiding and supporting others to learn new skills or improve those that they already have, working at the level they’re at. I am flexible, easy going and sunny, I work with a smile. I am a good listener who will ask you what you want and follow on from there. I am active and fit. Your needs and opinions are my first priority. I love the outdoors, bush walking or sitting in the forest. I love gardening and going for walks. I enjoy painting, drawing and making clay sculptures and pots. I have done a wide range of arts and crafts and are quick to learn new ones. I enjoy reading and watching a good film. I love animals, having grown up on a farm, horse riding from an early age. I enjoy listening to a wide range of music genre, meditating and yoga. I have been a prep-grade 2 teacher for 10 years, and worked in a special school for 3 years. I have worked with adults in supported commercial premises and adult support services. I have also worked in respite. My mother has Alzheimer’s and my father had renal failure before he passed I was their carer for three years before mum began living in an aged home. I find working with children and those with disabilities deeply rewarding. I am a happy, easygoing person who is versatile and flexible to the needs of others. I am also quite intuitive.
