About

I spent the last three years caring for three close family members going through terminal cancer. Understanding and feeling their pain, suffering and fear exposed a compassion and nurturing from deep within me that I was not aware existed. That desire to help others and give back to the community has not ebbed with their passing. I also had the absolute pleasure of working with people with disabilities during a role in Perth. The range of disabilities and ages was extensive, as was the degree of disability. My growth in this role was amazing and I was blessed to be able to get to know each individual from within and not just see the veneer. I believe being able to recognise the true individual and not the disability is paramount to not only the development and self worth of the person being cared for, but also for the growth of the carer. I am honest, reliable, compassionate and extremely dedicated to any task I undertake. ^& ^&I love playing games on the computer and have taught my three young grandchildren how to play Wordle and Wordscapes. It would be a pleasure to share this knowledge with people in the community. I enjoy walking and going for a coffee. I would really enjoy sharing this with others, talking, listening and getting to know the person within. I am a good, patient cook and I am very happy to pass on these skills to others. I know my previous work experience and qualifications are not relevant to this role, however, they do give me the ability to teach and assist with a wide array of life skills ie filling out paperwork, banking, drawing of Wills, paying bills, planning and scheduling and generally helping with skills to work through issues or problems. I mix very easily in any social setting and I am by nature, a very calm person, able to keep a very level head and solve issues as they arise. ^&
