I love helping people! It's something I have always looked for in the various areas I have worked in all my life. I started out as a Nurse, then made a big change and became a trainer and teacher in customer service. I have held admin/office management jobs where I had a large variety of tasks of making sure everything ran smoothly for everyone! I have always been closely involved in the care of my grandparents, then now my parents, helping them in remaining independent in their home. I know how important it is to enjoy as much independence as possible, in every way possible. I am acutely aware that social interaction is a big part of finding happiness in life, and I gain a lot of satisfaction when I can be a part of making that a reality for others. I enjoy learning, and have always taken on new classes at Community Houses, etc, to learn various things - crafts, art, pottery, languages, cooking - I love learning and sharing the learning journey with others. ^& ^&I have taken up watercolour painting in the last 3 years - self taught from the internet! Watercolour paints are relatively easy to transport, set up and pack up, as well as being something that can be as simple as making a greeting card. My plan to share this hobby would involve very simple first steps of explaining and demonstrating the paints, brushes and paper, then showing a simple example that brings good results (and makes someone feel good at their first attempt!) ^&
