Hi, my name is Hoda, Throughout my life, I have always been passionate about helping others and that's one of the primary reasons that I became a cancer researcher. Although I have deeply enjoyed working as a researcher, I would love to try a different role following the same purpose, as a new adventure in my life. Since I am compassionate and care a lot about vulnerable members of society particularly senior citizens and disabled people, when I came across the opportunity of joining "Like Family", I loved it immediately because it provides me with a chance to serve those people by doing a variety of enjoyable and fun tasks. I also love meeting new people and learning from them especially their experiences and stories. I am a good listener as well. Overall, I am sure working as a social carer would be something I would love to try. I am very good at teaching people whatever I know, from the rules of a game I play to cooking a special dish or even the specialised laboratory techniques, especially in a one-on-one setting. I try to make their learning experience as fun and simple as possible. I have always been given positive feedbacks from people that I have been their tutor/mentor. Also, I enjoy doing a fun activity such as cycling, hiking or playing board games with the other people who are interested in that same activity.
