I was motivated to become a social carer because of my personal experiences observing the challenges faced by disabled and mentally ill individuals. I realized the critical importance of providing care, emotional support, and advocating for those who often lack a voice in society. These experiences deeply impacted me, and I felt compelled to dedicate myself to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable people. I believe I will be good at it because of my strong empathy, communication skills, and two years of experience in mental health and disability support. Working in aged care, hospitals, and Supported Independent Living (SIL) has given me practical knowledge and a deep understanding of the complexities involved in caring for people with diverse needs. My commitment to cultural competence and continuous learning ensures that I approach each individual with respect and understanding, making me well-suited for the role. I’m passionate about providing compassionate care, building strong relationships through active listening, and creating a supportive environment for older adults. My skills in empathy, patience, and clear communication help me connect with residents. I also enjoy playing the piano, which I use to bring comfort and joy to those I care for. These qualities make me well-suited for aged care. No thats all
