With a Bachelor in Criminology and a Diploma in Case Management in progress, I am very passionate about this area of work and think being a social carer is a great way for me to make a difference. Beyond my tertiary education, I believe that I have a lot of the human qualities I could imagine are necessary to succeed as a social carer, having been a volunteer youth sporting mentor and soccer coach in the past, engaging individuals and helping them to achieve their best is something that really motivates me. I have grown up with two brothers and having attended boarding school from a young age I have alway found myself to be rather independant and capable of leading. I also grew up in Alice Springs and on a number of surrounding indigenous communities so I have a very strong appreciation and knowledge towards cultural diversity and cross cultural communication. In short, I honestly think this would be a perfect role for me and would jump at the chance to be a social carer.^& ^&I am very much into the creative arts and one of my hobbies is photography, I think that could potentially be a unique way to connect with a client, perhaps plan an outing where I could introduce them to photography. ^&
