About
I am a social bird and believe that being able to communicate and connect with different groups of people has been my strength in getting independent. I am originally from Fiji, and have moved to Melbourne 4 years ago. My journey had been a challenge especially with continuous lock downs and work schedule change after the move,hence one way I could feel connected was by working with a team virtually and sharing life experiences. Lessons learns during this phase helped me understand other workmates better and also helped gain my confidence back. I believe my patience and listening skills would also be an advantage. I am a quick learner and helping others in any ways feels more rewarding. One of my hobbies is doing physical training and exercise. My strategy would be trying to talk to the person on what his/her hobbies are and if they are ready to explore new activities. Only if they are comfortable, then I would go ahead and demonstrate some basic training activities. I believe constant communication will help me understand their comfort level and if they are willing to do the activity themselves. If yes, then assist them with the activity in a safe environment for a period.
