I was fortunate to have clinical placements in a fast-paced inpatient environment for acute renal and vascular patients at Monash Medical Centre. My role included completing the initial contact, cognitive screening, equipment provision, manual handling, personal care assessment, and functional mobility practice. I have a great understanding of using multiple types of equipment including a ceiling hoist, Sara steady, wheelchair, commode, a slide sheet, 4WF etc. Furthermore, I have had a clinical placement in an inpatient sub-acute neurological ward at Monash Health. I have independently conducted group or 1:1 upper limb therapies for patients with stroke, MS, dementia, or traumatic brain injury. I have practised manual handling for patients with lower or upper limb impairments as well as bariatric patients for personal hygiene occupations. Throughout my experiences, I was able to develop a good rapport with patients and families using my compassionate and emphatic approach and communication skills. I am highly skilled in patient-centred practise based on individual needs, especially for adults or the elderly, however, I also have experience taking care of my young cousin with an intellectual disability. I am eager to apply my skills and experiences to make a meaningful contribution to patients and families.^& ^&I love social time and share interests and hobbies with my friend and family. I am interested in many outdoor activities including travelling, road trip, or hiking as well as many indoor activities like puzzling that helps me to reduce my stress. I am happy to share places that I loved and also, I would love to hear other people’s life and experiences. Listening to other people’s life journey and interests is my favourite thing when getting know new people. I also really love learning from other people.^&
