I was born in a big (15 members)joint family in India and post that I went to an all girls hostel for my schooling. In school we were made to participate in a variety of art, craft, sports and outdoor adventures. It further got inculcated in me and I passionately purse art and a whole of other activities even today with my family members and those around me. I have been an active member at various NGOs in India where I have helped in teaching them various activities like painting, reading and playing creative games. I love to spend time with older people as it fulfills the gap of loosing my grandparents at a very young age. I fondly cherish and remember them, and by being able to spend quality time with aged people I feel a connection to my grandparents.^& ^&I feel painting is a wonderful therapy. It is such an interesting and meditative way to connect with your inner soul and others around you. Art is a great conversation starter as well. Back at home I have a wonderful time painting with my 9year old boy to by 78 year old father Inlaw. It connects us all beautifully and I feel it’s a great team activity. ^&
