Coming from Brazil, I was born in a small town in the state of Minas Gerais. I was raised by my aunt, and when I turned 18 she developed Alzheimer's and couldn't walk, so I was there to help her. A few years later she passed away, so I moved in with my grandmother and uncle, a person with an intellectual disability. A few years later I moved to Rio de Janeiro to graduate in tourism. There I participated in social projects, which took elderly people to get to know the city. I also worked at music festivals helping people with disabilities in these event spaces. I find it easy to relate to people who deal with barriers, it's the kind of person that makes me feel like myself. I believe that with them I am heard and seen.^& ^&I really enjoy playing card games, I believe many older people do too. I like to exercise, stretch, maybe making them do the same would be a way to do something that I also enjoy. Finally, I really enjoy hearing other people's stories, much more than telling my own.^&
