About
I love talking to people and making them feel connected with the world around them. Whether its the natural world or with other people. I worked as an Occupational Therapist for seven years and have experience in helping people from all walks of life i.e. in the fields of aged care, medically discharged veterans (below 65), mental health, neurological conditions (strokes, TBIs, etc.) and autism. Isolation can be devastating in our technologically driven world. It's time that technology gave back in the form of this platform :) I know what it's like to not be listened to or to have assumptions prematurely made about you. I'm determined to make my life about helping those who need their voice to be heard. ^& ^&For example, if someone wanted to learn how to knit. I would bring my needles and wool, we'd pick a spot either in a quiet cafe or picnic in a scenic area and I would show them the basics. I could ask them to bring their own gear but just in case, I will bring some camp chairs and a picnic blanket. ^&
