About
Living in Nambour, I've loved being a part of our vibrant community, with lots of creative outlets, volunteer culture, coffee shops and event spaces. Sometimes I've encountered community members out with support carers enjoying activities and thought that would be a great way to get to know people and explore the Sunshine Coast! I am a people person, active volunteer and community member with a lot of interests and would love to help others enjoy their day-to-day life however they may need support. My background is in the creative arts and education, with a drama degree and minor in film. So I love getting creative and engaging in local arts! I'm a fan of our local library, cinema, arts spaces, community centre and coffee shops. As a practical, hands-on type I enjoy up-cycling, arts and crafts and gardening. With a Cert. 111 in Horticulture to polish up with experience, I've been volunteer gardening at the Nambour Community Centre and am on the organising committee for Nambour Grown, our upcoming community garden. I also love exploring green spaces, bush walks and botanical gardens. With a background in teaching English as a Second Language, I've been lucky to travel and work overseas, in the U.S.A, Italy, Scotland, England, Czech Republic, Germany, Spain and Taiwan! I love meeting people from all walks of life and completed a personal goal, walking across Spain on the Santiago de Compostela in 2016.
