I have over 4 years hand on experience working as a Youth Worker. I have had experience working with vunerable children with disabilities, creating great bonds and following specific routines with those children. I have just completed my certificate 4 in Youth work and really enjoy the benefits of creating a better life for our youth. I also have work experience and have completed my certificate 3 in aged care. ^& ^&When getting to know somebody new (a young person in care) I like to start with talking with them by listing turn for turn what we like and dislike to get to know each other and build that connection from the start. Once comfortable, I would love to offer to organise one of their hobbies to go do together to also build that connection.^&
