My passion is people. I come from a hospitality background because connecting with people is what I love most, I had a brief stint in a kitchen at a high care aged care facility and I absolutely loved every second I spent with the residents, it’s been my favourite job, it was just super unreliable and I had to leave to ensure my finances. But now im in a much more secure place and I can’t wait to get back to what im passionate about. I find joy in connecting with people, there is nothing I love more than watching people thrive and contentedly living their lives. If I can even play a minor role in that then I couldn’t ask for more. I want to make a difference with my life, and coming from the childhood and background I have, I know that all it takes is one person to make a massive difference in your life. I want to be that somebody. I am compassionate and empathetic and I’m very present and an awesome listener. I know if I’m given the chance I can be an amazing social carer. ^& ^&Anything that I am skilled in or have any knowledge in I am happy to share with others. It goes from teaching my best friends children how to play Xbox, or how to paint or play card games. And by all means I love to sing but am absolutely tone deaf, but I was the first one doing Karaoke with my residents at Karaoke night. I love to tell jokes and find joy in doing all kinds of things. One of my old customers when I worked at a bottle shop was deaf and we couldn’t interact very well, so I took classes to learn sign language so we could talk about anything that he wanted to talk about, I then passed that knowledge on to my other staff so when he came in they could help him with less barriers. He ended up becoming a close friend of mine and we would regularly get coffee before I went to work so we could chat. I also lived by myself for a long time and I am very capable at doing anything around the house, I could teach someone to cook, how to mow the lawn, how to wash and fold clothes, how to paint the walls if they so desired, how to hang up curtains, etc anything comes to maintaining a home. I’ve also had 10+years experience in all areas of the hospitality industry, if someone wants to learn to carry 3 plates or how to set a table or make a cocktail or how to flip burgers or pour beer or tell the difference between red wines I’m your girl. Any knowledge or experience or skills that I can pass on I will. And if I don’t the the knowledge to pass on, me and my client will learn together. ^&
