Hello, my name is YANNICK Milumbu I was born in democratic of congo, in 1996 on the 1st of January. I have five siblings and I am the first born. During my childhood life, I was always the one that took care of my siblings, since my parents were barely at home due to working far from home. I enjoyed being able to take care of my siblings. When I was a child, I used to like playing music and dancing, and I also liked to play soccer with my friends. So one day, I was playing soccer with my friends and then I tripped over and fell down, but surprisingly no one was able to help me out and I was so disappointed with what I had seen. After a couple of seconds, I saw someone who came and asked me if I was alright, i then explained the situation and they were able to get me up. I was so excited and since then I was very passionate about being helpful to others. We came to Australia in 2019, I went to TAFE Queensland to study and I met new friends there which was very exciting. I then went to Austcare, where I managed to complete a certificate 3 in individual support, and I was so much happy because my dreams were coming to pass. I really enjoy being around people, having fun, making new friends, learning more about different cultures, helping anyone in needs and also hanging out with friends. I am looking forward to meeting new people around the world, and also working as a social care worker, would make a difference in my life and community , because it has always been my dream to be able to help and support others.
