I think my greatest strength as a Social Carer would be my passion, this is something I care deeply about due to my life expereinces. These last two year have been exceedingly difficult for all of us, to varying degrees of course. So while I'm by no means the hardest done by as a result of covid I do believe its had a profound impact on my life. I moved out in 2020 in order to escape problems at home, I moved to a residential college in melbourne, which has since become the most lockdowned city in the world. I'll spare you the details but over the last two years I've been diagnosed with ADHD, substance issues (which ive since overcome), dealt with misdiagonsis which ranged from OCD to Bi-polar, brough myself out of pyschosis and been targeted, beacuse of my ADHD, and consequently unfairly kicked out of college. Luckily in the last 6 months I started seeing an ADHD coach (Manoj) so he was able to help me get back into college. But thats my point, if I hadn't have had him I don't know what I would've done. Moreover, if i had started treatment with Manoj 17 months early I might have avoided this hardship all togehter. Its made be understand the importance of passionate care underpinned by compassion and understanding. I want to turn these expereinces into something postive and I think that helping others around my age with your support would be a great way to do that.^& ^&I love to write my own songs. I think that self-expression/exploration through creativity can be really fulfilling, while also being fun and low stress. I think having an outlet where you can talk about what youre going through is vital; but I'm often anxious about what might happen if I put these ideas into the world, how they effect others even if they're real or not. So i found that music was a good way to just get it all out while avoiding that self-judgemnet, you can focus on trying to make a song and use your issues as building blocks. I think that by shifting the foucs away from what youre thinking about onto making something results in you then caring more about how your song sounds rather then the content. So rather than having to sit down and have a heavy conversation you can write a song about it and acheive the same thing. I'd love to write music or freestyle with someone, where I can treat them as a top famous muscian, by asking what they mean in the song how they did that and just making this person feel good about themselves while they can express themsevles in a no stress enviornement. ^&
