I have always had a deep passion for helping people and making a difference in their lives, a drive that has been with me since I was a child growing up in Brazil. One thing I knew for certain was that I wanted to pursue a career in the healthcare field. My inspiration grew even stronger after watching a documentary on Médicos Sem Fronteiras (Doctors Without Borders), a humanitarian organization that provides medical care to people in crisis situations around the world. From that moment, I set a personal goal to one day contribute to this incredible program. With this in mind, I chose to study physiotherapy, a decision that was further solidified after witnessing the rehabilitation journey of my best friend’s mother who suffered a stroke. Seeing her regain functionality through physiotherapy, driving again, becoming independent, and even opening her own clothing store while raising another child, deeply moved me. It made me realize the profound impact physiotherapy can have on a person’s life, helping them reclaim their independence and improve their quality of life through human movement. Today, I am committed to working with people to enhance their well-being, support their functional goals, and be by their side as they face life's challenges. I am currently studying Individual Support in Australia and am eager to bring my passion, skills, and dedication to a role as a support worker at Like Family, where I can continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those I care for. I am a very dedicated person in everything I do. As a physiotherapist, I take the time to understand the illness or disability a person is facing so that I can create activities that not only benefit them but also allow them to enjoy and have fun. I am passionate about helping others, and I’m a good listener. I’m also very proactive and always willing to assist with any task I’m asked to do. Additionally, I’m a friendly and cheerful person. I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it's running, walking, or simply sitting on a bench and watching life go by. I also love reading and painting outside. I appreciate the simple things in life, like just stepping out to soak up the sun Selma Foundation - Guarulhos, Brazil Duties: Physiotherapist consultations assistance.
