I have a burning passion for helping people. I also enjoy working and earning monetary income but what I find is the best form of income is seeing the positive impact my work has had on someone else. Whether it be helping clients with their daily goals or simply just seeing a client happier when I am at work with them. The reward of me seeing someone else happier at the end of my shift is what makes being a Social Carer possibly one of the best jobs out there. Volunteer work is something I have often participated in with three months of volunteer experience at Asperger Services Australia. Prior to this I had volunteered at Meals on Wheels and at a soup kitchen in Bondi when I used to live in Sydney. It was greatest feeling volunteering for these places and helping so many people in need. I also have a lived experience with Asperger Syndrome as I myself was diagnosed at the age of 8. My sister has also been diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome. I have limited paid experience in the sector but when studying my Cert IV and then Diploma in Community Services I had endeavoured after graduation to further my education in the field of Social Work or Psychology all while working in the industry. This is still my endeavour and I hope very soon that I can positively benefit the lives of many others as a Social Carer. ^& ^&I have a strong passion for both listening to music and playing music. I practice guitar and took singing lessons for several years which also opened my interests up to theatre. At my old job, I had a meet-and-greet with a client who also had a strong passion for singing and theatre. We talked for quite some about different musicals we liked. We quickly developed a good client-worker rapport from this. ^&
