Hi, my name is Alyssa, Tell us why you would make a great Hero. Hi everyone! My name is Alyssa and I am 27 years old and from the states! I have completed my masters at Macquarie University in Conservation Biology but I have a background in psychology as well. I am a fun, energetic and caring person whose goal is to help out any way that I can. I love meeting new people and I am extremely happy to go on an adventure or relax with a cup of tea and have a chat! Tell us how you will share one of your skills or hobbies to help someone in our community. My passion really lies within the ocean and I am happy to spend some time at the beach or the pool! Before coming to Australia, I used to teach swim lessons and was a certified lifeguard. To this day I still teach some friends to swim and spend as much time as possible around the water. I really enjoy teaching swimming and watching people become more confident in the water. Although I love the water, my other hobbies include anything and everything that involves the water, hiking, reading, driving and relaxing!
