I am a wonderful Social Carer. I’ve always volunteered my time wether working in child care, volunteering in schools and disability organisations, bringing up my own four daughters, their peers and now helping with my grandchildren. I’ve also offered up my home privately to children seeking refuge from differing domestic situations over the last 3 years. I love and enjoy people of all ages and backgrounds. I’ve now relocated to the Gold Coast and am boarding with my Mother In law and am helping when needed to care for her life companion of 96yrs as he’s unable to walk anymore. The position offered by Like Family of a Care Support Worker, to me means that my skills and experience in life are a professional asset in assisting others and helping them to increase their quality of life positively. Especially through extending on their interests. I have a friendly disposition and a positive outlook on life that i employ daily. I’ve already devoted my life to caring for others socially and definitely look to creating a paid professional career as a Social Support Worker.^& ^&I’m a very well rounded and diverse individual from mechanics, restoring cars & furniture to silversmithing to name a few. If I was to share one of my skills immediately I’d choose a nature walk through national forest or a beach walk and a picnic lunch. Ultimately though I usually prefer to extend on my clients interests and level of abilities. ^&
