My passion is helping people, I have more than ten years of experience in social work supporting children, family, people with disability and drugs addicted people. I worked as a child protection practitioner and correctional service officer in Sri Lanka and currently I am supporting people with disability for four years in Australia. During this period, I could support people to achieve their personal goal through various social, emotional and recreational activities. I have a good understanding and connections with the first nation people's cultures and their values. ^& ^&One of my clients had anxiety, and social phobia, he did not want to come out from his room and visit any places, but I understood, he likes to play footy and having pets. Then we approached him to engage in those activities, in the initial period, the client did not accept the access, and first we gave him community access by driving, then gradually, he was involved in playing footy. Now he is playing the game regularly and he is going for walking with a dog activity as well. So, understanding the reasons for the issues of the clients and finding the interests and options are important to help them to achieve their personal goals. ^&
