I believe I would make a great social worker because I’m a loving, friendly and empathetic young lady. I tend to connect with all kinds of people very easily. My ability to understand and share the feelings of others allow me to gain a deeper understanding of those around me which tends to lead to a great long term connection between one and other. I love people! I love meeting new people and learning about them, their hobbies, skills and just genuinely who they really are. In my previous roll, I worked with and helped many people with disabilities and illness. They would always love to come down and have a good old chat with me about what’s going on in there life’s. I truly loved it! It was my favourite part about my job and is what led me today to start my career in the social carer industry. I also have many home duty skills, my mother works a lot so I tend to help out with making dinners, cleaning the house, laundry, and common errands she needs doing (taking the dogs to the vet, grocery shopping, going to the chemist ect). I’m always willing to give a helping hand to anyone In need, it’s extremely rewarding and makes me so happy that I am able to help.^& ^&Helping others by sharing my skills and hobbies is something that brings me immense joy. For an example, I’m a very creative person (especially in the arts and crafts department) and would love to share my skills weather it’s scrapbooking, painting, drawing ect. I am also a big fan of anything beauty weather it’s makeup, hair, nails or fashion! And would absolutely love to share my skills weather that’s helping them do it on themselves or even letting them experiment and do it on me! I can adjust to any skills and hobbies and would even love for them to share there personal hobbies and skills and teach me (I love learning new things from others!).^&
