I signed up for Like a Family as I wasn't getting much fulfilment out of my everyday 9-5 role. I love working with people and if I can use that same passion to help, I believe I have the power to brighten someone's day. I am fun, loving and outgoing. I would make a good Social Carer because I have genuine compassion for the needs of others. Being in a more fortunate position, I want to share my abilities and help other people.^& ^&Volunteering as Surf Life Saver means I get to spend a lot of time out at the beach. If the person I am looking after in the community likes the water and outdoors, I would happily bring them down to the beach. Additionally, I love to cook and would take great pleasure in cooking for or showing my new friend how to make some of their favourite meals. ^&
