I have many motivations for wanting to become a Social Carer! One of my main reasons is wanting to provide geniune help and care to others, either physically helping others or simply being someone who can provide mental support as well. Another motivation for wanting to become a carer, is that I am seeking a rewarding lifelong career. As I am a very creative and highly motivated individual, I had a very promising career as a commercial interior designer, however, I found that I was missing a sense of purpose and fullfillment. I came to the realisation that my personality and my core beliefs would suit best a career where I can make a true meaningful impact. I would also love to become a Social Carer is to share some of my skills and knowledge I have learnt along the way. As someone in their early twenties, who has navigated through the challenges of finishing highschool, university, first full-time job and starting my own business not too long ago, I believe I can relate and provide support with others around the same age. However, I would say I am not limited to a specific age group as I enjoy getting to know indivduals of all ages! In summary, I believe I will be a good Social Carer because of my genuine willingness to provide help and care, my positive attitude, patience and empathy. Although I have yet to have direct experience in this field, I am seeking the opportunity step into this career and grow. Baking, Cake Decorating, Digital Drawing, Painting, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Cooking, Cleaning and Music/Playing Piano. As mentioned previously, as a full-time commercial interior designer, I was seeking a more fulfilling career path. I turned my hobby into career and started Sol Cake Studio which allowed me to not only build strong relationships with clients and learn how to manage business operations but also experience the deep satisfaction of bringing joy to others. The time I have been doing this allowed me to reflect on my next steps and that is to step into the field where I can offer my support and care. I have a background in hospitality, design and starting a small business. I believe I am very versatile and have a range of different skills that may be applied to many things. People around me have often said I have a calm and gentle nature, that I'm nurturing and a good listener. To know more about my personality, I am an INFJ, I believe this describes me perfectly!
