I enjoy being engaged within my community and have a long-standing involvement through teaching and volunteer work. I come from a family of 5 siblings, married into a large family and have raised my own family, so have experience in a variety of roles and areas. I was born in South Africa and during my first 10 years I worked within the Hotel and Catering Industry. My mother was Australian and I moved to Australia with my family in November 1999. I am also a Certified Montessori Teacher and have been developing my Ceramics Arts Practice over the last 10 years, teaching ceramics through various organisations. Our recent catastrophic flood has brought me closer to my community and given me a new appreciation for those around me.^& ^&I am able to offer companionship and skills like taking public transport, signing up to their local library and how to access local social activities I can offer company in social activities, movies and going to concerts I can assist with shopping, cooking and meal preparation I can assist making and attending doctors appointments and running errands I can offer company doing light exercise and walks I can assist with cleaning and gardening^&
