About

I love working with people. I come from a large family with 3 older siblings and have spent the last 3 years helping my parents who are foster carers. I honestly believe it to be the biggest privilege spending time with and caring for the children and my family. I have a passion for restoration of families and my dream would be to one day work with restoring children to families and assisting parents or families adjust to the care of their loved ones as well as the running of a household (cooking and cleaning). I was born in Dublin, Ireland and moved to Australia when I was 7 years old, so I am adaptable to new environments and people. I also have spent 3 years working as an administrative assistant in a Barristers Chambers so I am happy to assist people with technology or organizational skills. My dad is a case worker in a drug and alcohol rehab and I think it has certainly made me a more understanding and compassionate person. With both recovering addicts and families dealing with out of home care - everyone has their own trauma and circumstances. People just someone who is on their side without judgement to be there for them. I am so lucky to have the support system I do and I know the difference it makes in my life. I would love to be that for someone who needs and deserves it.^& ^&I play guitar, ukulele and piano and I am happy to teach what I know, but I am unable to read sheet music! I love cooking and baking the most - I'm vegetarian and have lots of veggie meals I can share but also happy to cook with meat if needed. I also enjoy cleaning and organization - I understand how cleaning/organizational tasks can feel too large for people when you have so much else going on. I have a passion for art, literature and music and enjoy painting, colouring in and reading. I enjoy exercising and have some knowledge on yoga and Pilates but I enjoy walking in the bush or parks the most. ^&
