From a young age, I’ve involved myself in community services because I’ve always been an outgoing person who cares so much about the community I come from, both culturally and environmentally. I belong to a large extended family with numerous siblings also so I’ve always been surrounded by large amounts of people. I’m known as the social butterfly of my family, both intermediate and extended because I love to meet new people and have a laugh wherever possible. Communication has never been a problem for me and I usually find getting along with almost anybody I meet quite easy. I have many lifelong friends who can vouch for my personality and am confident that I can bring so much positivity to this role. I’m automatically a caring person, usually putting other peoples needs before mine (when appropriate) and it’s already a reward when you can see you’ve made such a positive impact on someone else’ life, which is what I’d love to do. I currently work as an NDIS support worker and love what I do but Id like to venture out more into the community and be able to choose my own flexible times. I believe with my experience and personality, I could be a great candidate for this role!^& ^&For me it’s simple, what they need I do my best to supply. It’ll be different for everyone, for instance, for community members who enjoy the outdoors, I would compare my hobbies to theirs and find something that will be enjoyable for the both of us but would be more beneficial for the client. My aim is to give them the best service that I can. I’m my opinion, skill needs to be shown rather than exemplified in words (in which I will be more than happy to show.^&
