Wanting to help others and assist individuals to reaching their highest potential has always been a passion of mine from a young age. I live at home with my older brother who is living with a rare form of disability called 9p syndrome. From a young age I understood the importance of social engagement and participation amongst those living with disabilities, which led me into studying occupational therapy. I am currently in my 3rd year of study. I am a very understanding, patient, caring and empathetic individual, who is looking to connect and assist others in engaging in activities they enjoy. Some of my hobbies include going to the gym, going for walks, being out in nature, cooking, getting creative (arts and crafts), and anything adventurous and fun! I have a background of working with children in childcare, in which I have obtained my certificate 3 in early childhood education and care. I am currently in my 3rd year of my bachelors degree of Occupational Therapy, in which I have had experience working at paediatric clinics and a special needs school, and currently working as an allied health assistant. An interesting fact about me is that I have also been a TV extra on shows like home and away and Doctor Doctor, which has allowed me to connect with others and increase my self-confidence.
