I am currently studying a psychology honours degree, I chose psychology as I have always been intrigued in understanding human behaviour and have always had a desire to help people in need, so psychology seemed like the perfect route. Since studying the various psychological disciplines and history I acquire. A skillset that distinguishes me from other applicants is that I carry my human behaviour and psychology interests outside of academics and have a more personal attachment to those interests as I find enjoyment in researching about the various psychological interventions used to treat psychological disorders. From this personal research I have acquired considerable knowledge of many psychological interventions and skills that assist in helping people with complex to minor psychological conditions. Furthermore, I am an empathetic, patient and understanding individual which I believe are critical attributes in working as a support worker. As every person you support is unique, so it's important to understand the individuals and their needs and desires to assist in helping them achieve their goals. ^& ^&Share the positives of the skill and if interested, I would plan an activity involved around that skill for them to indulge in the experience and possible acquire a new skill or hobby.^&
